Barnard Marcus raised £16.9m at its latest sale.

Out of 165 lots offered, 20 sold prior to the sale and 83 went to bidders in the room, reflecting a 67% success rate.

The sale took place on 8 September at the Grand Connaught Rooms, WC2.


Victorian flats for sale

A three-storey Victorian house in Cambridge, arranged as three flats, is being offered with vacant possession at the next Cheffins sale, with a guide price of £700,000 to £750,000.

The auction takes place on 23 September at Clifton House in Cambridge.


Auction scores high success

Graham Penny’s auction on 10 September at the iPro Stadium in Derby, enjoyed a 78% success rate, with 46 out of 59 lots sold.

Sales totalled just over £4m.

The top lot was a three-bedroom detached house in Mickleover, Derbyshire, which sold for £215,000 against a guide price of £125,000.


Taste for a tearoom?

A village tearoom and restaurant in Bourton-on-the-Water, Gloucestershire, is due to go under the hammer on 23 September, guided at £550,000 to £600,000, with an income of £31,250 pa.

The lot also comprises a three-bedroom maisonette rental investment.

The sale takes place at Hyde Barn in Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire.


Cottons reels in lot sales

Cottons sold 61% of the 58 lots offered at its latest sale on 10 September at Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham, West Midlands.

Five lots sold prior to the auction, and 29 went in the room, raising £3.3m.


Sutton does the double

Sutton Kersh sold several lots for roughly double their guide price at its latest auction on 10 September at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Liverpool.

Overall, sales were £4.5m, with a 70% success rate.
