Price boost for houses near to stately homes

People living close to stately homes have benefited from a sharp increase in the value of their properties as a result, a report by Halifax bank showed.

The increase in the average price of such properties was almost double the national average over the last 10 years, the report said.

The increase is being called the “Downton” effect.
