A pair of prime West End properties on Old and New Bond Street have been put up for sale.
Levy Real Estate has been instructed to sell 139 New Bond Street, W1, home of antique jewellery dealer SJ Phillips, for in excess of £70m.
The jeweller, which owns the building, has been in occupation since 1966.
It is located opposite auction house Sotheby’s and provides 10,160 sq ft on basement, ground, and four upper floors.
Above the 1,687 sq ft ground floor shop are four floors of offices totalling 6,476 sq ft which have their own separate entrance from Bloomfield Place.
Levy Real Estate partner Jonathan Martyr said: “This property represents a major opportunity for a luxury retail unit with grade-A offices above or to devote the entire building to creating the type of ‘retail maison’ which is now proliferating in Mayfair with a double-height frontage and additional retail on the upper levels.”
The instruction comes as niche agents Chapman Petrie and Hoddell Stotesbury Morgan have begun marketing 5 Old Bond Street, W1, home to the flagship store of British designer Alexander McQueen.
The 23,265 sq ft building is to be sold by NFU Mutual.
The vendors are seeking offers in excess of £160m, reflecting a net initial yield of 2.05%.
