BAM to sell Metro Salford

Exchange-Quay-Salford-Quays-THUMB.jpegBAM Properties has put its Metro development in Salford Quays up for sale after leasing the remaining space in the building to Hamburg Süd.

JLL has been instructed to find a buyer for the fully let 72,500 sq ft scheme, seeking offers in excess of £19.3m, reflecting a net initial yield of 7.5%.

Shopping line Hamburg Süd has agreed a 10-year lease on 17,700 sq ft in the grade-A office building, joining tenants BAM, Sinclair Knight Merz and Insight Direct.

BAM northern development manager Paul Smith, said: “Hamburg Süd has a long standing association with Salford Quays with links back to Manchester Liners and Furness Withy and we are delighted that Metro will now play a part in this important heritage.”

CBRE and Canning O’Neill are letting agents on the building; Altus Edwin Hill acted for Hamburg Süd.
