Quick turn for Essex plot
A £1.5m Essex development site that sold at auction just last week is being put back out to market this month.
The lot, bought by a private investor at Savills’ September sale, will be offered at MS Auctions’ 5 October sale with a £1.7m guide price.
The 18,000 sq ft site has planning permission for two three-bedroom houses, nine two-bedroom flats, and five one-bedroom flats.
The sale will take place at Radisson Blu Portman hotel, W1.
Auction House raises £3.5m
Auction House Symonds & Sampson raised £3.5m at its 25 September sale at Digby Hall in Sherborne, Dorset, reflecting a 76% success rate from 25 lots.
Auction House has recently added a Nottingham sale room to its network, which will be run by HEB Chartered Surveyors.
The auctioneer now has 40 auction rooms.
Cash sought for rental website
An auction website through which tenants bid for rental properties in legally-binding auctions is seeking crowdfunding or private investors.
The site, AuctionLets.com, allows landlords to upload properties and accept bids from “pre-qualified” bidders with references.

A row of four vacant houses in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey, is being offered at the next Barnard Marcus sale, guided at £2.2m.
The 185-lot sale will be held at the Hotel Russell, WC1, on 12 October.
