Two car park sites close to Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena are to be transformed into residential developments.
Plans have been lodged for the sites, on which up to 145 flats could be built.
Gallan Developments has teamed up with Orion Capital Developments to submit a planning application for 82 flats as part of a scheme to be called Edward House. The site is also close to the Jewellery Quarter. BM3 Architecture and planning consultancy Brooke Smith Planning are advising on the scheme.
Meanwhile, Trigram Properties has also submitted a planning application to build two blocks containing 63 flats on a car park fronting onto Edward Street, Helena Street and Scotland Street.
The site is currently an underused car park and will become a gateway into the local area.
