Capital & Regional has appointed Laura Whyte as a non-executive director.
Whyte previously served as board member of the John Lewis Partnership for 10 years, firstly as registrar and then as human resources director.
Whyte will join the board on 1 December. She will replace Philip Newton when he steps down from the board at the 2016 annual general meeting.
She is also a non-executive director of the Defence People and Training Board of the Ministry of Defence, the British Horseracing Authority and the British Equestrian Federation. She is also an executive trustee of Women in Retail.
