Cardiff reception: A strong second half
The Estates Gazette Focus autumn reception tour kicked off with a trip to Cardiff in September. Just a week ahead of the Rugby World Cup’s opening games, there was an air of excitement and anticipation for the national team, which powered through to the quarter finals, only to be knocked out by South Africa.
A bumper crowd turned out at the Park Plaza hotel and with the market fighting fit, spirits were high. If the smiles and hints are to be believed, the second half of the year should be a good one for scoring office leasing deals.
No obvious injuries either for the property fraternity, it’s a shame the same can’t be said for Wales’ rugby team. There were some Welsh winners on the day, though. EJ Hales picked up the most active agent prize in the EGi deals competition and Henry Best and Anthony Jenkins of Jenkins Best were joint top dealmakers.
