Buyers have bought 180 homes to be built inside the BBC’s former White City headquarters, with starting prices of £650,000 for one-bedroom apartments.
The homes were marketed in the UK initially and 150 were sold to UK buyers. Another 330 homes will be put up for sale in April and a number of penthouses are also available, at prices up to £7m.
The site is now owned by Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan of Japan and Alberta Investment Management Corp. of Canada. There are plans for two office blocks, townhouses priced at between £1.2m and £1.65m, and 142 affordable homes.
