Scotch whisky brand Whyte and Mackay is to establish its new Scottish headquarters at St Vincent Plaza in Glasgow.

It will be the first tenant to move into Abstract’s speculative 172,280 sq ft development, where rents range from £23 to £25 per sq ft.

The company has committed to relocate from Dalmore House in early 2016 and will take the entire 17,726 sq ft fourth floor.

Accountancy firm KPMG is also planning to relocate to St Vincent Plaza.

The firm, which currently has its office at NFU Mutual’s 191 West George Street, is under offer for 39,000 sq ft of space on the top three floors  on a ten year lease.

Bryan Donaghey, chief executive of Whyte and Mackay, said: “We will be relocating in spring 2016. St Vincent Plaza’s close proximity to our existing offices, combined with its large, open floor plans, views around the city, and excellent environmental ratings made the decision for us.”

Joint agents for St Vincent Plaza are CBRE and Ryden.

GVA James Barr represented Whyte and Mackay; Knight Frank is representing KPMG.
