TalkTalk’s head of innovation, Neil McArthur, has said the company is looking to be the first FTSE 100 business in Manchester.
The company, currently in the FTSE 250, plans to increasingly consolidate around Salford’s MediaCity, McArthur said. It plans to move 1,300 employees from Irlam and Warrington to a site in Salford that used to be a soap factory.
Savills estimates Manchester could gain 36,000 more office workers over the next decade.
