Almacantar was last night granted planning permission by Camden council for a new retail unit below the link bridge of Centre Point, WC1 on Tottenham Court Road
The unit will be part of a public square next to the new Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station, which will open in 2018.
Kathrin Hersel, development director at Almacantar, said: “The introduction of a retail unit to the scheme will bring to life the new public square ahead of the completion of Crossrail in 2018, which will bring 56 million visitors to the area per year.”
