£8.5m debut for Lot11

A company billing itself as the first genuine online-only property auction house raised £8.5m from its inaugural sale. Lot11’s internet sales lead directly to contract exchange, rather than conditional  purchases. Its 17 November sale had a 66% success rate, with 13 lots sold on the day and two prior. More than 1,000 bidders registered for the sale.

Riverside restaurant offered

A riverside restaurant in Stamford, Lincolnshire, with permission for a barge for extra seating, is to be offered at Auction House London’s 9 December sale at Landmark London, NW1. The 3,255 sq ft Grade II listed, freehold former toll house is guided at £750,000.

SVA raises £3.4m in Glasgow

SVA Property Auctions raised £3.4m from its sale at Glasgow’s Trades Hall on 25 November. Of the 24 lots offered, three sold prior and 15 sold in the room.

Cambridgeshire island for sale

An island in the Great Ouse river near Huntington, Cambridgeshire, is on offer at Cheffins’ 9 December sale at Clifton House in Cambridge. The 8.7-acre island is guided at £100,000 to £125,000.

Emson offers Torquay nightspot

A former Hollywood-themed cocktail lounge, restaurant and bar in Torquay, Devon, is going under the hammer at Clive Emson’s next West Country sale on 17 December at St Mellion International Resort, Saltash. The freehold lot is guided at £350,000 to £365,000.
