Criterion Capital’s proposed £300m Slough town centre regeneration project has received planning consent.
The scheme will include 675 PRS homes across five blocks around and above the existing Queensmere shopping centre.
A refurbishment of the mall and an extra eight shops totalling 130,000 sq ft have also been approved.
Construction is due to start in the third quarter of 2016 commencing with the Loop, a 24-storey tower comprising 119 flats.
