Investment in UK commercial property peaks

Investment in UK commercial property has peaked, but prices are expected to remain high in the years ahead, according to CBRE.

CBRE’s chief executive, Bob Sulentic, said a wall of capital wanted to be invested in real estate. While pricing was high in key cities, among them Hong Kong and New York, such cities would be stable.

CBRE said international investment in London seemed to have plateaued, but that other areas of the UK had attracted increased investment from abroad.

CBRE is forecasting total returns on commercial property of 10.1% next year, down from 13.1% this year.
