Legal & General Real Assets has hired Tony Doherty from Schroders as head of product development in its business development team.
He takes over from Dan Batterton who has taken up the newly created role of Build to Rent Fund manager, the firm’s first dedicated appointment to shape and structure its institutional offering in the build-to-rent sector.
Doherty will oversee product structuring and fund launches across the Real Assets division of Legal & General Investment Management alongside equity raising support for its specialist property funds and the execution of indirect transactions.
Prior to joining L&G Doherty spent 15 years at Schroders Investment Management, working across research, fund analysis and fund management in indirect real estate.
