Lendlease and Evans Property Group have secured planning consent for the final phase of a 1,025-home regeneration scheme in York city centre.
The final stage of the Hungate masterplan will deliver 662 flats, 20,000 sq ft of shops, two public squares and a community centre.
Development of the 4.7-acre site is already well under way, with 168 new homes completed and 195 flats under construction.
The latest approved plans will be delivered in four phases, with construction expected to start in early 2016.
