Mitsubishi Estate London has prelet half of its City office scheme three months before its completion.
Investment manager Rathbone Brothers has signed for 75,000 sq ft on the lower ground and fifth to eighth floors at the 160,000 sq ft 8 Finsbury Circus, EC2.
This follows the prelet of 11,000 sq ft on the ground and lower ground floors to Wright & Bell last year for a bakery, restaurant and bar.
Mitsubishi Estate London is a subsidiary of Japanese developer Mitsubishi Estate Co.
Mitsubishi Estate London managing director Naoki Umeda said: “This transaction reflects the continued strong demand for top quality office space in the City. Rathbones represent the highest calibre blue chip occupiers we have been seeking to attract for our high specification office building.”
The development manager on the scheme is Stanhope. Gerald Eve advised on planning.
CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield are advising Mitsubishi Estate London; GVA Bilfinger advised Rathbones.
