Manchester a draw for commercial property investment

Manchester attracted £8.2bn of commercial property investment, putting it ahead of Birmingham at £6.5bn and Glasgow at £5.3bn, a survey by CBRE shows.

On a per capita basis, however, Glasgow did better than both Manchester and Birmingham, as did Aberdeen, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Leeds.

The survey analyses investment in 12 regional cities, finding that they attracted investment totalling £44.4bn. Foreign investment in areas outside of London was at its highest since 2007.
