Templegate Developments, a joint venture between Evans Property Group and Keyland Developments, has submitted a planning application to build a new community with 1,100 homes in Leeds’ Aire Valley.
The 170-acre neighbourhood at Skelton Gate would also include school provision, a supermarket and local centre and landscaped green space.
The site is located east of junction 45 of the M1, close to the Aire Valley Enterprise Zone where major infrastructure works on the £96m Temple Green development are under way, including Leeds City Council’s park and tide transport interchange.
Skelton Gate has already been earmarked for housing development as part of the council’s Aire Valley Action Plan, which aims to deliver 6,500 homes in the area by 2028.
