Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has been granted planning permission for 400 private rented homes by Edinburgh City Council.
The scheme, in the former industrial area of Fountainbridge, is the first purpose-built PRS project in Scotland.
The 250-home first phase of the project was principally developed for private sale but included a small PRS trial.
The architects are CDA and HTA.
