Hammerson and Allianz have approached a number of banks looking for term loans to finance their purchase of the Project Jewel loan portfolio from Irish bad bank Nama.
The partners seek a 40% loan on the €1.2bn (£900m) paid for the portfolio, which includes a loan secured against Dundrum Town Centre shopping centre in Dublin.
The terms required for the senior loan are expected to be a fixed-rate long-term loan of seven years.
