Beauty parade for L’Oréal mandate

lorealFrench cosmetics giant L’Oréal Paris is working up plans for a major London office move.

The company is in the process of selecting an agent to help it find a new home of up to 200,000 sq ft.

It is currently based in Standard Life’s 255 Hammersmith Road, W8, but its lease expires in 2019.

An appointment is expected in the next few weeks with a view to securing a new office this year, should it choose to move.

It is understood that L’Oréal would prefer to remain in Hammersmith, however, its options are limited.

Legal & General is redeveloping the former Bechtel House, 245 Hammersmith Road, W6, where quoting rents are likely to be well in excess of the sub-£45 per sq ft currently paid by L’Oréal.

It is also expected to consider options across London, such as Chiswick Park, W4, White City, W12, and King’s Cross, N1.

Cluttons has previously advised L’Oréal on its
office requirements and is understood to be among a trio of agents that remain in the pitching process from an original list of five.

L’Oréal declined to comment.
