The Bedford Estates has appointed Simon Elmer as steward. Elmer will succeed Mark de Rivaz, who will be leaving his position after 24 years, in March.
His responsibilities include running the central London estate and directing investment programmes for the estate’s office, retail, residential and educational portfolios.
Elmer joins The Bedford Estates from Grosvenor where he was a director for seven years. In this role, he oversaw the investment and performance of the £1.4bn North Belgravia portfolio. Elmer also has 14 years’ experience companies including Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE and Savills.
The Duke of Bedford, said, “[Steward’s] broad experience and track record will be invaluable to the future development of The Bedford Estates. His extensive knowledge of the property world and how successful organisations work will help us preserve our reputation as one of London’s great estates”.
