Aberdeen to get £500m investment boost

Aberdeen is to get just over £500m of extra investment to help it deal with the impact of the plummeting oil price.

The Scottish government will provide £254m in funding to improve rail and road links, housing and other services. That is in addition to a city deal involving the UK government which will provide £250m to be used for energy research, infrastructure and work on the harbour.
