Blackstone and Catalyst Capital’s plans for the Stratford Centre, E20, have been given the go-ahead by Newham Borough Council.
Plans for the island site adjacent to Westfield Stratford City include two residential towers of 42 and 25 storeys, as well as the conversion of an existing office building and modernisation of the Stratford Centre.
The redevelopment will deliver around 600 new homes, 24,800 sq ft of leisure space, 12,500 sq ft of offices and a new public square.
Construction is expected to start this year.
