Market Tech to extend Camden Lock Market

Camden-market-THUMB.jpegMarket Tech, owners of the Camden Lock Market, has received planning consent for a change of use and extension of the site by the Regent’s Canal.

Working on behalf of Market Tech, Gerald Eve organised the plans, which received permission from Camden Council for the construction of a five-storey structure in the Camden Lock Market site plus the development of an adjacent pavilion building.

In addition, the site will see a change of use to an exhibition space in the Middle Yard building basement, a new pitched roof over the East Yard, and a new bridge over the canal basin.

In all, the plans should increase the market space in Camden Lock Market and create new uses for some of the buildings on the site.
