Online fashion retailer boohoo has purchased a building on China Lane, Manchester, for £1.6m, as it looks to expand its head office in the city.
The property was bought from the Jogo Associates pension scheme, whose beneficiaries include boohoo’s joint chief executive Mahmud Kamani.
The company intends to secure planning permission to use the property, which is close to its existing HQ, as an office.
If it is unable to do so, the company has an option with Kamani which gives it the right to sell the property to him at the original purchase price of £1.6m.
