Providence Equity Partners has acquired a minority stake in Topgolf Entertainment.
Topgolf operates driving ranges that use microchip technology to offer competitive golfing games. Its first range opened in Watford in 2000, and it now operates at 20 US sites and three UK ones. It plans to open 10 new facilities a year.
