Candys’ Omni becomes Fortwell

Fortwell_LogoThe Candy brothers’ lending vehicle Omni Capital has changed its name to Fortwell Capital.

The move comes after the company was mistaken for Omni Partners, an investor operating in a similar space.

After operating under the Omni name for five-and-a-half years, the company will change its name with immediate effect. No other changes will occur in the company, with all staff being retained and contacts details remaining the same.

Colin Sanders, chief executive of Fortwell, said: “The name Omni Capital has served us well these past five-and-a half years, but the time was right for a change. There are several sound commercial  reasons why.

“First, there are other businesses called Omni operating in an increasingly similar trading space to ours. Until recently our paths have not crossed too obviously, but of late this has changed, causing a degree of confusion in the market and among our clients. Our new name removes this difficulty and creates a clear, separate identity.”
