UK engineering concern Keller saw earnings rise by 8% last year despite sales being down 2%.
Half of the company’s revenues come from the US, and chief executive Alain Michaelis said it saw no reason for the current jitters over the economic outlook for the country.
US spending on construction increased significantly for the fourth year in a row, and growth in most market segments was good, he said.
