Swinton Insurance has launched a search for a 60,000 sq ft contact centre in Greater Manchester after restructuring the business to focus on its digital and telephone platforms rather than high street branches.
The insurance broker announced this week that it plans to cut the number of branches it operates from 325 to 195 by mid-2017. It has not yet identified which branches will close.
WHR has been instructed to source space for the new contact centre.
Swinton is aiming to open the centre in October and in the longer term plans to double the size of its contact centre operations in Manchester.
Swinton Insurance chief executive Gilles Normand said the company was committed to maintaining a network of commercial branches but would “continually review” its distribution model to meet the changing needs of its customers.
