The man behind a radical proposal to change London Underground’s Circle Line tunnel with a travellator will be speaking on an Estates Gazette panel session at MIPIM, in Cannes, next week on the topic Why global cities rule the world.
David Lewis, the principal of global architecture firm NBBJ, will debate, along with a leading panel of experts, how urbanisation, travel and other infrastructure, mean cities, not countries, hold the key to growth.
The audience will learn why astute investors must view the global landscape this way, as well what the main drivers and threats are to the growth of cities.
Lewis is also expected to reveal the factors that help or hinder urban growth, as well as how design and architecture is shaping cities.
He will be joined, among other influential analysts, by Max Holliday, director of Real Estate for WPP, which represents businesses across the globe, and Savills’ director of world research, Yolande Barnes, who will reveal the findings of the firm’s latest 12 Cities report.
This panel session is being held in partnership with Savills.
