Auction House hits record high

Auction House recorded its highest sales total in the firm’s nine-year history at its February auction, where it raised £63m and sold 461 out of 600 lots – a 77% success rate. The company attributed the result to demand ahead of stamp duty changes on 1 April and the increasing appeal of regional sales.

Sutton Kersh offers luxuries

A five-bedroom detached house with an indoor pool complex, gym and cinema in Woolton, Liverpool, is being offered by Sutton Kersh with a guide price of £850,000 to £900,000. The sale will take place on 31 March at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Liverpool.

Allsop Ireland raises £12.4m

Allsop Ireland raised £12.4m from its 9 March sale at RDS, Dublin. It sold 20 out of 28 lots offered – its smallest catalogue – equating to a 72% success rate.

Pugh to uncork vineyard lot

Pugh’s 30 March auction will feature a 5.6-acre vineyard in Ross On Wye, Herefordshire. Containing seyval blanc and early pinot grapes, the vineyard is guided at £80,000 to £100,000. The sale takes place at the Feathers Hotel in Ledbury, Herefordshire.

66% success for Countrywide

Countrywide achieved a 66% success rate at its 9 March sale at Le Meridien Piccadilly, W1, selling 38 lots out of 58 offered and raising £8.6m. A semi-detached six-bedroom house in South Woodford, E18, sold for £720,000.
