Car dealership Vospers has acquired a 9.5-acre site for a motor park development on phase 2 of Matford Green Business Park in Exeter.
The transaction follows the agreement of new dealerships for VW, Lexus, Toyota, Audi and Jaguar Land Rover across 27 acres of the park.
Vospers will submit a planning application for a FordStore, one of 60 flagship UK showrooms that showcase the latest Ford models.
The plans will also include additional showrooms to relocate a number of Vospers’ other franchises to the site.
Lloyds Bank provided Vospers with funding for the purchase of the site.
Noel Stevens, partner at Alder King in Exeter, said: “We now have just six acres remaining on this final phase of the development. This is available on a prelet basis and is ideally suited for complementary occupiers keen to be part of the region’s leading automotive hub as well as occupiers within the trade, office, industrial and warehouse sectors.”
