Allied London has signed restaurant group D&D London to open a rooftop eatery at No. 1 Spinningfields in Manchester.
The restaurant will be D&D’s first Manchester restaurant, adding to its 30-strong global portfolio including branches in London, Leeds, Paris, New York and Tokyo.
Restaurants in London include Le Pont de la Tour, SE1, Coq d’Argent, EC2, and Bluebird, SW3.
Launching in 2017, No. 1 Spinningfields is a 260,000 sq ft office building in Manchester city centre.
PwC has signed to take 50,000 sq ft and Squire Patton Boggs has agreed to take 27,500 sq ft, with rents understood to be in the region of ÂŁ33-34 per sq ft.
Des Gunewardena, chairman and chief executive of D&D London, said: “Expansion in northern England continues to be a significant part of our group’s growth strategy and this announcement reflects that.
“Manchester is a fantastic city and we have watched closely over the last few years the resurgence of the restaurant scene in the city and in Spinningfields in particular.”
