Schön Klinik, a family-owned German hospital group, has signed a lease for the whole of the Howard de Walden Estate’s 64-66 Wigmore Street, W1.
Schön has signed a 19-year lease with an option for a further 21 years and is paying rent of £4.2m pa.
Construction of the 54,000 sq ft building is due to complete in June.
The transaction is subject to planning permission for a change of use from offices to medical.
Simon Baynham, property director at the Howard de Walden Estate, said “Schön is a highly respected German hospital group.
“We have also signed an agreement with Advanced Oncotherapy to build a new-generation proton beam therapy centre.”
