Amadeus lands new base at Heathrow

Heathrow-Amadeus

Travel services technology provider Amadeus is moving to a new 85,000 sq ft building at Arora Group’s World Business Centre in Heathrow.

Amadeus had appointed JLL to find up to 100,000 sq ft of offices along the M4 corridor but will now stay on the business park in a new building – WBC 4 – which is due for completion within 18 months. It is moving out of WBC 3 on Newhall Road where it occupies 60,000 sq ft.

Lease terms are still being negotiated but headline rents in the area are £30 per sq ft.

Amadeus is listed on the Spanish Stock Exchange and employs more than 11,000 people around the world.

Arora Group is headed by hotelier and entrepreneur Surinder Arora. It has a strong presence in the Gatwick and Heathrow regions, and the 239-bedroom Hilton hotel in Stansted, Essex.

News of its expansion also indicates a renewed confidence in the Heathrow market. Most recently JLL is seeking tenants are for oil giant BP’s 170,000 sq ft at One New Square and Two New Square at Bedfont Lakes.
