Former Hadley exec eyes resi opportunities

London-skyline-2015The former chief executive of Hadley Property Group, Peter Bennison, has launched a company focused on residential-led development opportunities around London.

Meadow Residential is looking for unconsented sites of up to £50m that would work for either private sale or rental schemes.

It is backed by Meadow Partners, a privately owned investment manager that runs a series of closed-end private equity funds on behalf of institutional clients.

Meadow Partners has offices in London and New York.

Started in 2009, Meadow Partners has thus far raised in excess of $850m (£586m).

Bennison was chief executive at Hadley Property Group from its inception in 2009.

In 2011, private office LJ Partnership bought a 60% stake in Hadley, half of which was then bought by Hong Kong-based Peterson Group in 2013. In 2014 it announced an intention to invest £100m over the next two years.

Bennison left in September last year and was succeeded by chief financial officer Andy Portlock.
