QIA explores US hotels
The Qatar Investment Authority is in advanced talks to buy two St Regis hotels from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. The hotels, in New York and San Francisco, could sell for as much as $1bn (£700m).
SouFun to move US listing
Chinese real estate internet portal SouFun Holdings is changing its listing from the US to mainland China. As part of the relisting, SouFun will swap assets and shares with Chongqing Wanli New Energy Co. The move is subject to regulatory approval.
Genworth cautious on resi
Genworth Financial has sounded a note of caution over the Australian housing market. The company has cut back in Queensland and Western Australia, said chief executive Tom McInerney, citing regulatory actions and the local economy’s connection to China and commodities.
Gramercy agrees sheds deal
Gramercy Europe has agreed to acquire Goodman Europe Development Trust’s 20% stake in a European portfolio of nine logistics warehouses. The portfolio comprises eight warehouses in Germany and one warehouse in France, totalling 5.3m sq ft of logistics space. Goodman has been mandated to carry out the property management services.
CLS exits Sweden
CLS Holdings has completed the disposal of its remaining investment property in Sweden, the 418,800 sq ft Vänerparken in Vänersborg. The mixed-use complex has been sold to Bengt Linden AB for SKr590m (£50.2m).
