BCO 2016: Legendary Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas says he is dedicated to high-tech development, he told delegates at this year’s British council for Offices conference in Amsterdam.
He said: “Despite our aesthetics and great relaxed reputation, we have a long-standing commitment to embracing technology.”
He used his own practice’s Amsterdam HQ, the G-Star Raw building, as an example, adding that his idea of offices of the future was to “create a space for people to create”.
“This space is actually a pool of creativity, one that is then surrounded by a structure that allows those people to do what they are there to do.”
