Soho Estates has secured permission to develop a 300,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme at 111-119 Charing Cross Road, W1, comprising offices, a nightclub, art gallery and flats.
The application has been criticised by conservationists for the height of the new building and its impact on the Soho Conservation Area.
Gerald Eve advised on the proposals, which include a new 13-storey building on Charing Cross Road and the refurbishment of properties on Greek Street, W1, as well as a new path and courtyard linking to Manette Street, W1.
The courtyard will have restaurants and shops and improve access to the Chapel of St Barnabas.
