GCP share issuance raises £60m

Student-digs-THUMB.jpegStudent accommodation investor GCP Student Living has raised £60m through a share issuance.

The fund raised £10m more than its original target placing over 44m shares at 136.1p.

The funds will be used to acquire 530 more student beds located in a city centre, according to a stock exchange announcement.

GCP currently has an agreement with Royal Holloway, University of London, and is on target to deliver a 170-bed scheme for them in 2017/18.
