Marina Quay signs food tenants

Marina-Quay-Rhyl-570pxScarborough Group International has secured two new lettings at its £23.4m Marina Quay development in Rhyl, North Wales.

Following prelets of 49,000 sq ft of retail space, Scarborough has now signed a 20-year lease with Burger King for 1,800 sq ft, and Greggs, which has taken a 10-year lease on 1,540 sq ft.

The scheme, designed by NW Architects, covers 74,800 sq ft of open retail use and 44,100 sq ft of non-food retail.

Previous lettings include retailer the Range, which signed for a 35,000 sq ft shop with a 5,000 sq ft external garden centre on a 20-year lease.

The first phase of the 16-acre scheme is due to complete by next spring.

Scarborough Group acquired the site, formerly known as Ocean Plaza, in 2010 after the previ-ous owner entered administration.
