Parents are paying almost a fifth more than the local average price for properties near to schools with an Ofsted outstanding rating, according to research by HouseSimple.com.
Properties close to the best state schools are commanding average premiums of 18%, HouseSimple chief executive Alex Gosling said.
Top of the list of desirable schools is St Luke’s primary school in Brighton & Hove. Homes close to it are fetching around 45% more than the local average.
