Blackstone and Brookfield Asset Management consolidated their positions as the leading real estate fund managers last year, according to data from Anrev, Inrev and the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries.
Brookfield held on to top place in the global manager rankings, with its property assets up a third to €137bn. That kept it ahead of Blackstone which recorded a 36% increase in property assets to €135bn.
Property assets worldwide rose by 10% to a record high €2trn.
