Clockjack to open in Woolwich

Clockjack-THUMBThe Woolwich Arsenal Estate has secured rotisserie and grill restaurant Clockjack for a second site in Woolwich town centre.

Clockjack, which serves free-range chicken as its signature dish, signed a 20-year-lease for the space and is scheduled to open in July.

The 75-cover restaurant, at 79 Povis Street, SE18, will feature a vertical rotisserie like the firm’s original Soho branch, the second of its kind in the UK.

Fraser Duncan, co-founder and executive director of Clockjack, said: “We wanted to replicate the success of our restaurant in Soho and Woolwich was the next choice for our second Clockjack restaurant.
“The town’s growing reputation, high footfall, and an ongoing investment in the area, which includes Crossrail, made this the ideal location for our brand.”

Cradick Retail and Nash Bond acted for the Woolwich Arsenal Estate.
