Quartet aims for Middle East investors

Middle-East-THUMB.jpegA quartet of former bankers from sharia-compliant bank Gatehouse are launching a new company aimed at Middle Eastern clients.

Harry Thompson, David Swan, Christoper Combs and Art Rogers have joined together to attract Middle Eastern clients looking to invest in the UK, continental Europe and the US.

The private equity house will exploit the contact base of clients developed at both Gatehouse and their former institution, Bahrain-based Arcapita Bank.

While the business will look at co-investment opportunities, the principal method is on a deal-by-deal basis in the mid-market.

The four are in the process of putting together their first deals.
