Plans for a new 178-bedroom hotel at Birmingham International Airport are due to go before Solihull Borough Council planners next week.
Castlebridge Hotels submitted a planning application in March for the nine-story building, which will sit on a vacant site next to the airport’s administrative offices at the main entrance to the airport.
The Hitchman Stone Architects-designed hotel is being built to address growing demand and will compete with four other neighbouring hotels on the site – Novotel, Ibis, Etap and Travelodge.
An operator for the hotel has not yet been identified.
