FORE Partnership has revealed plans to redevelop 24 Mount Street in Manchester into an 80,000 sq ft office building.
Plans include a mix of shops and food outlets on the ground floor, a roof terrace and public realm improvements.
The 1970s office building has been vacant for seven years. While plans are finalised, FORE is working with social enterprise 3Space to offer collaborative workspace to local artists, charities and community groups.
FORE is due to submit a planning application later this month.
Basil Demeroutis, managing partner of FORE, said: “Our plans are different to the scheme that was previously approved for this site.
“However, we are confident that FORE’s proposal offers a financially viable alternative that is fully funded and in keeping with the buildings in the immediate vicinity.”
